Refund & Cancellation

Yuma is a credit-based monthly subscription. You may cancel at any time from Dashboard → Manage Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access and any unused credits until that date.

Your subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel. Your payment method on file is charged at the start of each new period. Credits reset on each renewal and do not roll over.

Refunds. Because Yuma is a digital subscription delivered immediately, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds for past charges. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. If you believe you were charged in error or have a billing problem, email support@yuma.studio and we'll review it.

Privacy

We collect only what is needed to operate Yuma and bill the service. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

What we collect

  • Account: your email address, used for sign-in and transactional email.
  • Billing: your subscription status, plan tier, and credit balance. Card details are stored by Stripe; we do not have access to your card number.
  • Usage metadata: AI requests pass through yuma.studio/api/chat. We log only the metadata necessary for billing and abuse prevention: timestamps, model name, token counts, and credits charged. We do not retain the body of your prompts or AI responses.
  • Marketing site analytics: aggregate page views via Vercel Analytics and Meta Pixel. No audio, project, or session content is collected.

What stays on your machine

Your Ableton Live session, audio files, and MIDI clips never leave your computer. The desktop app communicates with Ableton over a local socket on 127.0.0.1 and transmits only AI prompts to our servers — not project files, audio, or MIDI.

Where AI requests go

Prompts you send through Yuma are routed: desktop app → yuma.studio/api/chat → OpenRouter → the AI provider for the selected model (Anthropic, OpenAI, or MiniMax). OpenRouter and the model provider process your request under their own policies.

We do not train on your data

We do not train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI models on your prompts or outputs. Where upstream providers offer zero-data-retention or no-training options, we use them.

Subprocessors

  • Supabase — authentication, database, file storage
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • OpenRouter — LLM request routing
  • Vercel — web hosting
  • Resend — transactional email

Your data, your rights

To access, export, correct, or delete your data, contact us. We respond to data-subject requests within 30 days. We do not sell personal information. Residents of the EU, UK, or California may have additional rights under applicable local law.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for sign-in. The marketing site uses Vercel Analytics (aggregate, no personal identifiers) and Meta Pixel (conversion attribution). The desktop app does not set any non-essential cookies.

Children

Yuma is not directed at users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Updates

Material changes to this policy will be communicated by email or in-product notice. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

Terms

By creating an account or installing Yuma, you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Yuma for your own music production. You may not resell, reverse-engineer, or use Yuma to build a competing product.

Subscription & credits

  • Plans are monthly subscriptions that auto-renew via Stripe until you cancel.
  • Each renewal grants the credits associated with your plan tier. Credits reset on each renewal and do not roll over.
  • You may cancel at any time from Dashboard → Manage Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • We may adjust pricing or credit allocations with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply on your next renewal.

Your outputs

  • You own the outputs you generate (MIDI, audio, text, etc.) and may use them for any lawful purpose.
  • AI outputs are not necessarily unique. Similar prompts can produce similar outputs across users, and we make no warranty that any output is original or non-infringing.
  • You are responsible for your use of the outputs. If you publish or distribute them, you are responsible for verifying that they do not infringe any third-party rights.
  • We do not train AI models on your prompts or outputs.

Acceptable use

You may not use Yuma to generate illegal content or content that violates the underlying AI provider's usage policy, bypass credit metering, share accounts, or interfere with the service.

Service availability

Yuma is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the service and compatibility with future versions of Ableton Live, but we do not guarantee uptime or any specific outcome from the AI. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid in the preceding 12 months.

Third parties

Yuma is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ableton AG, Anthropic, OpenAI, MiniMax, OpenRouter, or any other third party. Trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Termination

You may stop using Yuma at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or that we are required to remove for legal reasons.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with reasonable notice — by email or by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
